Access to Lab results

Something of interest for those of you in the community who have regular blood work done (or even occasional bloodwork). Did you know that if you are using the LifeLabs service at Scotch Creek or at any of their locations you can access the results on your home computer and even print them off at home? You have to have had a collection in the last 30 days in order to make the registration but it is very straightforward.

  1. Go to the website for LifeLabs called and see the prompt on the left of the main screen called ‘Access Your Test Results’. (You may have to select your location first, British Columbia) Or click here to go there directly.
  2. Follow the prompts to create a BC User Registration noting that you do not have a welcome letter or a Lab visit number so select None of the Above.
  3. Have your BC Care Card number ready to complete the registration as directed.
  4. A PIN number will be sent to you via Canada Post within about 3 days and this is used to complete the final part of the registration.

Now you can use your home computer to access your test results within a day or so of having the collection done at Scotch Creek. Print the results and take them to your next doctor appointment if there has ever been a question regarding your result being available. Previous results cannot be accessed, only those after your registration.
